Athanasios Papathanasiou was born in Thessaloniki, Greece and is a graduate of the De La Salle Greek-French College.
He completed his legal studies at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne in France, where he specialized in Business Law (Maîtrise Carrières Judiciaires) and Criminal Sciences (Sciences Criminelles). Moreover, he possesses a Master of Business Administration from Kingston University in the United Kingdom.
In 2004, he established his law firm in Thessaloniki. Since its inception, the firm has been duly authorized by the French Embassy in Athens and the French Consulate General in Thessaloniki to offer legal services and support to French citizens and French entities.
